Eden playing outside

Eden was having so much fun playing outside in the backyard tonight. She had gotten her balls and was picking them up and rolling them down the slide. Well, papa decided he'd stand at the base of the slide and roll the ball back up it to Eden. She hit the ball down with her little hands and then giggle so hard she'd have to put her head down on the slide. They must have played that game for 15 minutes. I had to grab the camera and get some pics of her giggling.

Moving up to the real deal

A couple of weeks ago Dean got some paper for his printer and Eden got a wagon box. She likes to be pushed around the floor with it.
What a happy girl in her box!
Papa and his princess getting a work out Surprise, Maam bought Eden a wagon, and she was so excited she climbed right in without the wheels.
Poor papa had a hard time trying to talk Eden out of the wagon so he could put the wheels on, but it was well worth it. She loves to go out and ride in her wagon. She will grab your finger and tug you out of your chair and take you to the door and say "out" And if you try to pick her up for a hug, you better forget about it. She wants nothing to do with you but to be pulled along. She dangles her legs out the side and sings "if your happy and you know it" . She loves her wagon. We love watching her grow and enjoy such simple things. Ahhhhh..... if only it would last.

Sooooo Big

Eden likes to carry purses like a big girl now.
She has her Dora Cell phone that say's "Hola, Eden" and her keys and her picture of Papa
Between the purses and the necklaces, she is certainly a girlie.

God's Truth

I grew up in Oregon and since moving to the South I've encounterd some very strong opinionated people about race. There are times when something is said and I sit absolutely flabbergasted that some actually said that and that they mean what they say.

You see, when I was 18 months old my mom married my step father who happened to be colored. Didn't effect me in any way, but I learned at a very early age that some people had a problem with a mixed marriage. Not me. I love my dad. He wasn't any different from any other dad out there for me. He played with us, read to us, loved us.

But you see, down here I hear a lot of " It's wrong for a white girl to be dating a colored boy", or when I was working in the youth group I heard an adult say to one of our students, " What would your parents say if they knew you were talking to that colored boy" and it was said with the boy standing right there.

Well, today I was reading the bible and I was in Ruth. Ruth and Naomi are from two different areas. But she had heard about God from Ruth and wanted to learn more about God from her so she followed her mother-in-law back to Isreal. In Isreal, Ruth was a member of a despised people. But Boaz, a picture of Christ, had heard how the Moabites showed kindness to Naomi, so he offered to protect Ruth as a daughter. Later, he came to love her as a wife. Like God, Boaz was unprejudice and gladly welcomed Ruth into his family.

God is unprejudiced, he welcomes anyone of any race into his family. ( Romans 2:11, For God does not show favortism) He doesn't care where you're from, the color of our skin, or what name you bear. And that same color-blind impartiality is what he expects us to show.

I just love it when I can read God's word and he opens the door for my eyes to see His truth and His Love.

Gone back to Indiana

The Earlham Quakers Logo
That's my boy going after the ball, last season. #35
Can't wait to listen to the games
Adam, Saturday morning right before he left to go back
There he goes until Thanksgiving. We sure are going to miss him.

Adam's gone back to Richmond, Indiana to go back to school. He's starting his Junior year of college. He's excited to go back to play some ball. And his buddies were excited to have him return. They were texting him like crazy. They miss their friend. Praying he has a great season and that this season he stays off the injured list. We'll keep you all posted.

He's got an exciting year since the football team is going to Italy and Greece to play some ball in the spring. He still has to do a lot of fundraising so that he can go, but he's really excited. So far he's earned the most money on the team. Can't wait for him to be able to experience that.

Adam's Mini Me

Adam was trying to pack his bags to go back to college and his little "mini me" kept unpacking the bags and trying on his clothes, so he put her in some of his basketball shorts and a hat and let her walk around the house. This is Eden " Thuggin' it" with Uncle Adam.
She is so going to miss her uncle.

Got Milk?

What can I say? I went to the bathroom and this is what I found when I got back. Eden had gotten into the Oreo's and was enjoying a little afternoon snack. I think she enjoyed it.
