OK, only four weeks to go until our baby girl walks down the aisle.
We went and did our make-up trial a couple weeks ago. And tonight we went to Winter Haven to have our hair trial. Looks awesome. They put on the veil and it look so good. I feel sorry for the lady doing it. She has to do 8 hairdo's in 4 hours. YIKES. Doesn't sound pleasant. As long as Ashley looks good that's all that matters. Plus Dean will come over and cook breakfast for the bridal party as they get their hair and make-up done.
I have to admit that Ashley put in a CD of the wedding music she wants played and I teared up when I heard the wedding march. Very sappy I know, but it made it all so real. Not like, having piles of wedding stuff all over my living room isn't real, but you know what I mean. We have our final dress fitting on April 2. I hope everything looks great this time around. Last time almost gave me a stroke and Ashley almost passed out backwards.
We are doing her bridal shower this weekend, so I have a lot to do for that. Since I'm doing the food for it. She is excited about getting to open some gifts. Since she's received a few wedding gifts already and I won't let her open them until after the wedding. We have it planned to open the gifts when they get back from their honeymoon.
Getting close, very close.

Double Happy Birthday!

Birthday Present from Uncle Aaron. Can't wait for our first game.

It took forever to light all those candles.

45 for Grandpa and 7 for Jullian

Jullian suffering from smoke inhalition from Granpa's side of the cake.

Eden was enjoying the evening
Well, we celebrated both Jullian's and Dean's birthday last night. It was great to see Jullian. He always makes me smile. First thing he asks is if we have pizza rolls and cheese sticks. LOL And I did because it was his special night. I also made him deviled eggs which he demolished in less than 15 minutes. He loves those things. He knows he can count on pizza rolls, cheese sticks, chocolate milk and usually blueberries. I didn't have the blueberries.
He opened his gifts again giving hugs before opening the presents. I love that tradition that he does. It always makes me laugh. He has no clue what in there, but he's going to thank you first before he opens it. And boy was he excited when he had to count out 45 candles to put on Grandpa's side of the cake. LOL
Dean's birthday isn't until Tuesday the 25th, but since we had Jullian we decided to do a double one which Jullian thought was awesome. Plus Dean'll be at a hockey game with Aaron that night anyways.
Lot's of fun when you have grandkids.

Growing up too fast

Eden see's the camera and starts coming for it as fast as possible. Trying to take pics is very interesting. LOL

We got her this toy to play with and her favorite game is to ring the doorbell and open the door. We also play peek-a-boo through the windows.

Here I am, I want the camera

Eden's hair is finally coming in. And when she wakes up from a nap, her hair is extremely curly. I just love baby curls.
Hard to believe that Eden is going to be 9 months tomorrow. Where has all the time gone? I know I was here for all of it. Yesterday, Ashley came to pick her up and Eden was standing up holding on to her mama's knees. Well, for some reason she let go and stood there for 5 seconds all by herself. She fell on her bottom and everyone cheered her on. It won't be long before she is walking all over the place. She already crawls at a lightening pace.
Time flies when your having fun!

Easter Hope

This Easter marks the sixth anniversary of our Son Chris's death. He made us all laugh and we were blessed to have him as part of our lives. His brothers and sister miss him greatly. We miss his infectious smile.
We praise God because of the Hope of Easter. Hebrews 9:12 says "Through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemtion." Hebrews 12:2 " Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Chris received Christ as his Savior and we rejoice in knowing that he is in Heaven singing with the angels.
We miss you Chris! We love you!

St. Patricks Day
I love St. Patricks Day. Probably because my Grandma was Scotch/Irish and she loved taking me to see the Drum and Fife Corps. When I lived in Utah, Adam and I would always go watch the highland games at Murray Park. We would spend the day walking around the booths looking at all the coat of arms and trying to find ours. We loved eating the food and sitting on the grass and watching the bagpipe competions. I LOVE THE BAGPIPES and Drums. I miss Adam!!!
Yesterday I made our traditional corned beef and potato soup. I made sure to make enough in case the troops should decide to show up. Aaron called around three o'clock to see if Kelly came by to pick up his laundry. I said no. I asked if he was coming to eat and I told him what we were having. He showed up and Kelly came a little later. Ashley came at 5:30 to pick up Eden, I offered for her to stay but she said she needed to get home because Travis was coming home from North Carolina. Well, at 7:00, she called and asked if they too could come eat. So our usual quiet house was loud and noisy with the kids and their significant others. We had an Irish CD on the CD player and it was just nice to have the family together all but one.
When you don't think "traditions" are important, your realize the kids count on them. LOL I hope everyone else had a great St. Paddy's day. I sure did.

Feeling Better

Feeling Better!

Playing Ball with Grandma.
Eden is back and feeling better. She is smiles and giggles and ready to run us ragged. The only problem is we are all getting sick now. So we're not quite up to running around. Dean has a head cold coming on, I have a sore throat and Great Grandma is feeling poorly too. Ashley has been down with the same thing as Eden since Sunday. She finally went back to work today (Friday).
It's nice however to have my bug back ready to play. She loves to play ball. She loves to throw the balls at you. Although this one is a little large for her to throw, she does have a great arm with a kid size football. Definitely a LaFollette baby. : )
Making some noise

This is Eden playing in the kitchen while Grandma does the dishes.

Maybe the spoons will help my teeth come in?

Absolutely everything goes in the mouth. Forget the pans, let's eat the spoons.
Eden loves to play in the kitchen with Grandma. We have to make sure everything is up and out of her reach because it will definitely go into her mouth. LOL

Hospital Visit
Poor Eden!!!
She spent half the day yesterday at Brandon Hospital's ER. She didn't sleep at all Friday night and screamed all night. Then she ran a high fever for most of the day yesterday and was still crying uncontrollably. So Ashley decided to take her to the hospital to be checked out. When she got there her rectal fever was 103.7 she was limp and dehydrated. So they put her on an IV and took x-rays, blood and we waited. After three hours of a limp baby, we found out that she has hand, foot and mouth virus. Nothing they can give her just has to run it's course. She has open blisters down her throat. They say she can get a rash with this too. But so far we haven't seen one. Oh yeah, and as I was kissing her, the nurse came in and said it's contagious. ARGH!!!! Spread through kissing and body secretions. YIKES!!! I don't want it. But if I can take it from Eden I certainly would do it in a heart beat. Ashley took her home and I went to Walgreens to buy pedialite, baby motrin, mint mylanta and baby benadryl. I also got Ashley throat candy, since her throat was sore and very red. Don't know if we'll have her today or not. I hope Ashley stays home with her for one day. She still needs her mama.
Got to tell you it was no fun seeing Eden hooked up to an IV in her hand and she was so limp. Not a fun adventure. I didn't even have a camera to take a picture of my sweet baby.
