Ashley and Travis making their way to the dance floor for the first dance
It was a great day. Exhausting but fun. Started the day at Ashley's for hair and make-up at 7:30 am. We had breakfast cooked by Dean. All the girls loved it. They said it was better than going out to a restaurant. We had cresants that were cooked like french toast with a warm caramel pecan sauce, fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice. Eight girls all with long hair getting up do's. I was the only one without an up do. We left Brandon at 2:00 pm and traveled over to Treasure Island to start the set up process. If we didn't have help from some good friends from Salt Lake (Steph!!) I don't know. She was amazing. We got things going and finished setting up.
I have to say that Adam and Eden made a lovely flower girl. Adam walked down the aisle right befor Ashley holding Eden. He had Eden in his left arm, and trying to hold her, the flower basket and then with his right hand he was dropping flower petals. It was so stinking cute. There was a laugh resounding in the room. Then Ashley made her grand entrance and walked the aisle with her daddy. It all went so quick. But she is now Ashley LaFollette Jennings.
Our Jullian challenged the maid of honor to a dance off on the dance floor and it was amazing. He did some pretty awesome break dance moves.
Thank you for your prayers. Ashley and Travis are now honeymooning in the Dominican Republic and won't be back until late Friday night. I'm trying to recuperate from the weekend. I'm still in a fog.

4 days left and....

PINK EYE!!!! Yep, I said it. Eden Rae has pink eye. She wasn't looking good yesterday but I thought maybe a cold, maybe her top teeth, maybe... Well, she came today and it was pink, swollen and leaking water. I called her mother and said make a doctor's appointment. So... PINK EYE 4 days before the wedding.

Are your eyes itching now? MINE ARE!! They say that it takes anywheres from 5-7 days for the infections to run its course. Let's see... when do you think Ashley, Travis and Mary will all get pink eye? I made a doctor appointment for myself for Thursday AM. I'm not wasting time. I want the meds. What will Ashley and Travis do on their honeymoon in the Dominican when they get it? HMMMMMMMM............ not fun to me.

Check in tomorrow for the next wedding crisis.

Adam's Week

Poor Adam... He has had a very rough week this week.
First... he woke up this week to a 5.2 magnetude earthquake going on. He said the room was rattling. Not a normal occurance up in Indiana.
Second... while doing Spring football practice he got hit in the back of the head with his friends elbow while running a play and he has a concussion. The poor kid is sick as a dog. Trying to lay still and take ibuprofen for the pain.
Not a fun week for Adam. Glad he's coming home on Friday. His mom misses him.

One Week To Go

Well... we have one week to go before our doodle bug is married and becomes Mrs. Travis Jennings. She has decided that she will drop her middle name and be Mrs. Ashley LaFollette Jennings. I'm sad that she's dropping her middle name because it's a family name, but I understand her wanting to keep her maiden name for her career. I think we have everything bought that we needed and if not... tough. LOL I'm not spending any more money.

Ashley has started with the mood swings. Angry, happy, nervous, sad. Lord, I'm having migranes just thinking about it. Although I can't blame her. She has pretty much done all of this herself. She and I did her bridal shower. Her matron of honor lives in Utah and doesn't fly in until next Tuesday. She is planning on taking her two friends from Utah to the beach on Wednesday. Then on Thursday, one of her friends boyfriends flies in and she wants to go to the beach with him. So Travis is going to take them to the beach. Well, Ashley's friend Megan has decided to go to the beach to and not be with Ashley. Ashley is going to pick up her dress and she has her flowers being delivered that afternoon so she has to be home. Plus she thought she'd have one on one time with her best friend. Well... Meg wants to be at the beach. Ashley is sad and frustrated that she has six bridesmaids and no one will help her. I told her that Chloe and I will come over and help with the flowers. (Plus Chloe is one of the bridesmaids). Ashley just feels all alone. I feel bad for her. But just deal with it and move on. Can't stress over things you can't change.

Just keep praying. I'll keep you posted as the week goes on.

9 month old princess

We took Eden to Sear's for her 9 month old professional pictures. What a cutie. She is crinkling her nose these days when she smiles and she sticks her tongue out the side of her mouth now too. She loves to feel her top teeth with her tongue. She has three teeth now and is working on the fourth one now. It's just about ready to poke through. Kissing her is an adventure because she bites down when she kisses now. "OUCH"
She loves grandpa's new doors. Today she crawled over to the door faked falling and cried and then crawled to the door, knocked and told Dean to "open door". Too funny. Needless to say, grandpa opened the door. He's such a sucker for his princess. I was at the computer today and Eden came up to the glass door and put her face on the glass and waved at me through the other pane. Then she sticks her head through the open door, and then goes back to the glass. What a ham.
She tries to stand by herself at times and can do it for about 5 seconds before falling down. She is getting braver with her trying. I know it won't be long before she will be walking. She's very fast at crawling. There are times when my arthritis makes me sore and limping and I go slow and she will get to the highchair before me. She is speedy gozalez.

French Doors

We have been wanting french doors for Dean's office forever. Like at least for the last four years. Well, for Dean's birthday mom and I gave him some money and Dean actually put them in this week. YEAH!!!
I have to say I did have my doubts that Dean could do this job. Especially when he came home and told me he was going to saw apart the door frame to make it fit. If you could have seen the mess in the house. Absolutely everything was covered in dust. Not just a little dust mind you, but at least 1/2 and inch of dust. My brown leather couches looked gray. The house shook so bad I thought it was going to come apart. But my honey did it and I have to say it looks marvelous.
Dean works from home on Fridays so that he can call all his stores and report numbers to the company. Well, Eden absoluletly loves her guhpah and she wants to go in and play at his desk. It's just her Friday ritual. Well, now she can look through the windows of the french doors and see her guhpah. She sits outside and hits the window calling "pah, pah" And Dean is on the phone just giggling at her. Too much fun.
But I'm very proud of Dean and his accomplishment. His office is just about complete. Way to go Dean!! I doubted your abilities and you proved me wrong. The doors are great and so are you. Thanks a ton!!

Wheeeeee!

Eden got a new toy for Spring Break. WHEEEE!

Peek-a-Boo!

Such a big girl!

Grandpa protecting the girl from falling off the back!

We decided to buy Eden a slide today. When we got there we saw this swing and slide combo. So.....well..... you know how grandparents can be. We bought it and she loves it. What else is there?

It was a bit humid for her to slide down with bare legs, but she loves standing on the platform. She tells us good girl. LOL 9 months and her granny loves her more with each passing day. What a blessing she is to all of us. She brings such joy and laughter to us.

MISSING EDEN

Eden loves to take her fingers and run them over her lips and make noises. Her daddy showed her how and when she's bored that's what she does.

On Easter we had a rousing game of PITT. And Eden wanted to play so we gave her some cards and she was hitting her tray.

Guhpah and Eden having their three o'clock visit.

Whatever we have she wants and she wants guhpahs banana.

The satisfied look of I got it.

I am working the Scholastic book fair this week at school and I am gone from 7:00 am- 7:00 pm and I don't get to see my princess POOKIE PIE. I am absolutely in kisses withdrawl. I miss her calling for her maamaw. I hope we make tons of money and sell lot's of books, but I have to tell you it doesn't compare to being with my baby girl.

I MISS EDEN!!!

Ashley's Shower

These are some of the friends Ashley had during youth group at Kings Avenue and these are their three little girls. Ashley and Eden, Danielle Meador and Marley, Taylor Houle and Aniyah.
Eden 9 months, Marley 8 months and Aniyah 2 next month.

It was cute to see all the little girls playing together and having a great time. Eden is never with any other babies so she thought this was just great.

Oh yeah, and Ashley's shower was a good time too. We had ten guests and she got awesome gifts and we had a great time playing games and giving out prizes. And cheesecake topped with strawberries is never a bad thing. But if you ask me the best part was the three little girls playing and having a good time together.
