BUSTED!!

Eden and Papa decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood. Great Grandma and I were sitting in the living room taking a break and Dean comes running in the front door and into his office. He grabs something and goes running back out the door holding Eden. I figured he had forgotten his cell phone, then I heard the annoying sound of the ice cream truck music. I got up and captured Papa and Eden visiting the ice cream lady for the first time. Eden was pretty happy with her Dora ice cream. YUMMY!

Obama/Nicolai?

Dean and I were just talking about Obama and his going overseas to have meetings with leaders from other countries. We were flabbergasted at the thought that he said that he'd like to move the UN to Isreal. Does any of this remind you of Nicolai Carpathia from the "Left Behind" Series? I mean really... the media is biassed with what they report. They are completely infatuated with this guy that really doesn't have any experience. Didn't that happen in the left behind series? YES!!!

And the fact that he acts all high and mighty about not writing anything about his wife, and not publishing any political cartoons about him just makes me laugh. HELLO, did you put yourself out there for President of the United States? What makes you so special that you can't go through what every other person running has. They all are jokes on the late shows, they all have political cartoons drawn. Get over yourself. Talk about the real issues.

Personal Assistant

Dean works from home on Fridays. It's his day to take numbers from all the restaurants and report them to the cooporate office. He has his own phone line for his fax in there and let me assure you he gets tons of faxes.

Well.... Miss Eden has decided she likes the noise the fax machine makes and she runs into the office everytime she hears it so that she can get Grandpa's faxes and then hand them to him. I caught the little assistant in action today and thought I'd share.

Rub a dub dub

Eden sure does love to play in the water. She cries if she can't get in the shower with you. She wants to swim in her pool. She loves to take a bath. The kid is a swimming fiend. Here are the latest bath pictures of my big ham. She loves to make faces for the camera and for her papa who was takin' her hair raising pics today.

Grannie loves her little princess. Eden loves to sing Rubber Duckie in the tub. She just kicks her leg and sings duckie!

Fire Pics

The view from our side of the fence Sunday Morning
Poked my head through the fence and this is what I saw. The boat actually had a top on it.
What's left of their van
Dean took this one for me, cuz' I was too short to see over the fence. But this is what the lightning struck. That shed holds their lawn mower and all their gasoline. Praising God that it didn't get that far. It was raining very hard.

Excitement at the LaFollette's

The Joys of Summer Storms

Lightning and the LaFollette's

Our neighbors boat got hit by lightning
That would be the boat and their van/camper

Saturday evening Dean and I decided to sit out on the new screened porch and read our books. I was roasting because the air was pretty dead, so I ran into the garage and grabbed the fan and plugged it in and sat there enjoying the evening. Then the evening thunderstorms rolled in and we sat there enjoying the clouds and the way they were looking. Trying to decide if we were going to get rain or not. It started sprinkling and then the heat lightning and thunder started and it got a little wild. So we decided to come in and check on Grandma and Adam. The power was going off and on. And then while in the kitchen we saw the flash and heard the biggest clap of thunder you could imagine. Adam was on the phone with Aaron at the time and asked him if he had heard that. Aaron said "What, I don't hear anything". We went out to the back patio and the neighbors boat directly behind our house had gotten hit and was in flames. Now this boat is parked right next to my $6000 wood fence. Now don't fret, because our yard is an acre and it was at the back of the yard, but.... We called the fire department, Dean called the neighbors whose boat was going up quickly and told them their boat was on fire. They didn't know, and well... We have a Sheriffs officer that lives next door and she too called to say it was in our backyard so we got a 3 alarm fire. Thanking God for a good friend and a great neighbor. It's nice to get action when we need it. We had about 7 trucks on our little street. Our backyard smells of melted plastic. Not good. Our fence is going to have to be taken down. I only have night pictures to share with you, but I'll get better ones in the morning. Praising God that the boat and oh yeah, the camper/van didn't blow since they had gas in them. Praising God that it's only our fence. Praising God no one was hurt. God is good all the time and He alone is our protector.
I guess my boring evening really got exciting. I could do with less excitement in my life. : )

Lowery Park Zoo and Grandkids

Adam and Jullian walking the zoo together.
Grannie and Eden checking out the Twiga's (giraffes)
Jullian feeding the giraffe a cracker. He was grossed out by it's tongue.
While Adam and Jullian checked out the kangaroos in the petting zoo, Eden checked out the water. She loved it.
By the time she was done she was totally drenched but man did she have a blast. She was mad at me when I put her back in the stroller.
