Well, I woke up at 5:30 to go out to the garage and price things for our neighborhood garage sale. At about 7:00 am I opened the garage and started setting everything up. Ashley showed up at 8:00 am and brought her stuff and we sat there until 12:30. We didn't do too bad. We sold $165.00 worth of stuff and Ashley sold $100 so not too shabby for a Saturday. And I got to play with two of the cutest kids around. Jullian came over and played army with Grandma in the back yard. I don't think I've sprinted and run that much in a long time, but we had a ball. Eden came out back and we had her running up and down the back yard too. For those of you that have personally seen our yard you know it's a long ways to the fence and back. But we played hard out there for over an hour. Ashley had brought over one of Jullians things to sell at the garage sale and when he and Travis pulled up and he saw it there was no way we were going to sell his toy. He even offered to pay the price we were selling it for. Needless to say it went back to their house. I personally think it's a security thing with him since he's only there every other weekend. I understand why they thought they could sell it, but I understand Jullians reaction to it too.
Then we came in showered quick and sat and listened to Adam's football game on the computer. Great game, the Quakers did all they could, but they still lost. Bummer!! Adam had a great first half, but we didn't hear much about him after that. Well, he always calls after the games and he called and said that they had a 4 hour trip back home and then he's got an appointment at the ER to have X-rays taken of his hand. So here we sit waiting on the call about how bad his hand is. So if you get a chance to pray for him, please do. He's in a lot of pain, and it's very swollen. They think he's broken it under his big set of knuckles. He said the team doctor said surgery might have to happen this week. We'll keep you posted. It's hard to be this far away and have your kid go to the ER. We'll see him in two weeks, so I'll try and wait it out.
They are starting my mom on an in home nursing care program. She is getting worse and it's harder for her to move, so the doctor is sending people to monitor her more. So they come on Monday to get her enrolled in their program. I really think she needs to be admitted to a hospital, but she won't go. It's so tough to watch her suffer.

Musically Inclined
Yes, that is a drum, and yes it is located in our house. She is quite talented with a drum and drum sticks. She actually plays it quite well. Of course she has a full drum set at her house that she plays so she loves having a little drum at our house.
She loves to play and sing. Totally cracks me up.
And now she wants to walk around the house carrying this drum that is pretty heavy, but she likes to march with it. She cries if I take it off of her. The best part is she crosses the sticks in the air after she gets done beating on the drum and says something. I'm not sureWhat she's saying, but I know it's something her daddy has taught her when they play the big drum set together.
We bought her a cute little colored piano for her to play and she really loves it. She thinks she is playing songs. So today I sat her up at the real piano and let her have a go. She actually enjoyed herself. I think I'll be looking for a piano teacher when she's a little older. Way too much talent. Of course her mama liked to play but she didn't like structured lessons.
Already hitting the black keys. I think Julliard sounds good. What do you think?! or Maybe she'll be a Discovery Church Worship leader someday? I like the sound of that.Tuesday, September 30, 2008
Daddy's Little Girl
Dean had tickets to the Largo Cultural Arts Center Gala last Saturday. I went last year and I had other things going on so Dean invited Ashley to go with him to the event. They always have a silent auction, dinner and a show of songs from all their different plays that they do. This years theme was "New York, New York". Dean said he had a great time with his little girl. He said it had been a couple of years since he's gotten to spend that much alone time with his girl. So, I'm glad I couldn't go so that they could have some daddy/daughter time alone. I love the picture of the two of them together.

Family Time
Aaron and his girlfriend Kelly came over and played games, ate and enjoyed playing with the kids. Then later that night we went to our first night of our bowling league.
Eden playing soccer with Grandpa and her "Bubba" Jullian. She loves to kick a soccer ball. She raises her hands and says "Goal".
Of course she also likes to pick up the soccer ball and carry it around the uneven sand and weeds of the back yard.
Travis, Eden and Papa, playing soccer. Travis used to play in high school, and now Jullian plays on a team. I'm sure Eden will play eventually, but don't tell Ashley because she wants her to be a dancer. LOL
Jullian playing a game I bought him two years ago and hasn't played until today. He is a hoot. The fish bob up and you have to get them to grab your fishing pole so you can pull them out. Well, with everyone else having a pole, you can imagine the cheating that goes along with this game. We were all laughing so hard. And Jullian doesn't usually have people to play with so his social skills are a little one sided. God I love that kid. He's just really neat. We BBQ'd burgers and hot dogs, played some games, played kid games, and watched Sunday NFL football. It was a great day. Nice to have the kids and grandkids around for some excitement.
Although I have to ask why is it that guys are so stinkin' competetive when playing games? They pout, get agressive and blame others. Girls just figure it's ok to lose as long as we're having fun. Guy's are bad sports.

Ring around the Rosie
Playing Ring Around the Rosie with Papa and Maam, but Maam is taking the picture.
" WE ALL FALL DOWN! "
And there they all down. LOL, she can play this for hours. She loves to play. We've been working on " If your happy and you know it", "This little light of mine", and "Behold, Behold". She claps, stomps her feet and raises her hands and says "Men", She points her finger for the light, and she knocks on the door for Behold. I love watching her learn. Today she asked me "go outside" . Plain as day. She is speaking so well now. She still does the baby babble where she thinks she's saying something and you have no clue, but there are other times when you know exactly what she's saying.
She also is letting us know when she wants her diaper changed. She pats her bottom and says "cuck", and when she's wet, she pats her front and clearly says " peepee". Yeah, she'll be an easy potty trainer like her mama.
Eden's new Friends

Eden has made some new friends. We affectionately call them Fred and Ethel. The come and hang out at our front door so we game Eden some tortillas and her and Papa went out to feed them. She likes to run where you've thrown the tortilla's making the birds back up and sometimes flap their wings, but she thinks it's great. She was saying that they went ca, ca. Too funny. Bless her heart, she loves to be outside and make friends with the visitors. Our little Dancer
