Let's see...
Ashley has horrible morning sickness. Baby has a rapid heartbeat 178.
Adam has his cast off and is in a splint full time except to type his term papers.
Adam is on major antibiotics for an infection.
Eden is throwing tantrums these days. NO FUN. Suggestions welcome on how to deal with these.
Frustrated over caring for my mom. Very exhausting. Not having a positive heart at times. I am good to mom, but just vent to Dean about everything I have to do to care for her. I'm trying to keep 1 Peter in my mind. I just keep reading it.
Jullian needs to see a shrink for his ADHD to see if that helps his Ticks that he's having. They are getting worse.
Lost 15 lbs on Jenny Craig. But it's way to spendy so I won't be continuing that after November. Love the support I get there and I've learned true portion sizes. I've also learned to have a low sodium diet.
We're going back to Kings Avenue for church. Dean's happy there.
Love spending Monday nights with our small group. (Stricklands, Whitakers) Great friends.
Love the colder weather. Fun to be able to wear sweaters during the Fall. Not a usual occurance here in Florida.
I missed seeing the Councils because we were in Indiana. I'm pouting big time.
Having way too many migranes and NOT enjoying it.
God is so good, all the time. Need to learn to praise him even in the tough times.
Being more intentional about praying for others during the day. Not being so self centered but looking outwardly to others.
We're bowling with Aaron and Kelly on Sunday nights and loving it. Fun getting to spend quality time with them.
Looking forward to November and making my praise/thankfulness jar.
Grateful Dean has a job during this uncertain time for everyone.

This was the picture in the Richmond Indiana Poladium newspaper on Sunday. Dean and I are cracking up because it looks like he is an amputee. He's supposed to get the cast off on the 28th of Oct. I'm praying they leave it on since he has four more games to go. I don't think it's completely healed yet.

Weekend at Earlham
Can you say PAIN!! He got hit in the hand during a tackle.
The coach said he looked like "Hell Boy" #35
Ahh... the sweet smell of Victory. The team has to sing the school fight song to the crowd after they win a game. This was the first win of the season so they were eager to please.
Wow, this is what fall looks like!! Look at those leaves.
Dean and I went up to Indiana to see Adam at college. We try to get up there at least once during his football season to watch him play. We didn't know for sure if they would play him considering he is still in a cast with his broken hand, but they did and the pictures are of him wrapped like crazy. He had moments of serious pain, but he was glad to be back on the football field. And it was sure nice to get to see him. The team won their first game and the coach said he was setting up a bed for us at his house. He was keeping us for the next four weeks. Let's hope they can win the next couple.
We took him and his two best friends out for dinner on Friday night. I don't know when I've ever laughed that hard. Those guys are a riot. And you should try shopping with those beasts in Walmart. What a hoot. Remember we're talking HUGE football players. Things are being thrown over aisles like footballs, they are aiming for the cart while another one is running away with it.
And did I mention it was COLD!!! Leaves are changing colors, wind was blowing off of the lakes and Sunday morning we had to use our credit cards to get the frost off of the windshield. BRRRRR....
And.... I just have to say that Penn state has broken their Michigan losing streak. It was a stressful first half of the game on Saturday night, but we came out victorious. Now if we can win Ohio this week, things might look good for a BCS bid. Go Nitnany lions!!!

New Toy

Great Grandma ordered this for Eden and she loves it. She spent two hours straight playing with the dolls and moving them around. She was having fun with the baby telling it to go nigh nigh. She made the little girl sit on the potty. It amazes me how much they learn at this age and how much they already know.
Lately, she's been walking around the house saying "Hi Boo". Now I'm wondering if she is saying "Hi You", because I say that a lot, but now she has me saying Hi Boo back to her. She is just too stinkin' cute. My baby girl is growing up so fast.

Fun, fun, fun... SURPRISE!!
I took the clothes out of the dryer and was trying to fold the sheets, when little miss helpful decided to come and sit on the bottom of the sheet. These pictures are the result of 20 minutes of telling her to get off my sheet. She was laughing so hard.
So, the other night I was doing my Scholastic Book Order for school and I had my calculator on the table along with all the orders. Well the next morning, little miss helpful got up on the chair and started trying to help figure out the mess with all the financial institutions. I think maybe she might have a more reasonable solution.

And she had fun too. Don't we all wish we could have this much fun in our everyday life? As for Adam, his hand is broken in two places. One is a spiral fracture of the ring finger, and the other is a clean break of the index finger. Both in the hand. He is currently on some pain meds, and casted up. No football this week, can resume when the pain is gone. Poor kid. He gets an injury every season.
AND.... Eden is going to be a BIG SISTER at the End of May/beginning of June.

Great day!
Well, I woke up at 5:30 to go out to the garage and price things for our neighborhood garage sale. At about 7:00 am I opened the garage and started setting everything up. Ashley showed up at 8:00 am and brought her stuff and we sat there until 12:30. We didn't do too bad. We sold $165.00 worth of stuff and Ashley sold $100 so not too shabby for a Saturday. And I got to play with two of the cutest kids around. Jullian came over and played army with Grandma in the back yard. I don't think I've sprinted and run that much in a long time, but we had a ball. Eden came out back and we had her running up and down the back yard too. For those of you that have personally seen our yard you know it's a long ways to the fence and back. But we played hard out there for over an hour. Ashley had brought over one of Jullians things to sell at the garage sale and when he and Travis pulled up and he saw it there was no way we were going to sell his toy. He even offered to pay the price we were selling it for. Needless to say it went back to their house. I personally think it's a security thing with him since he's only there every other weekend. I understand why they thought they could sell it, but I understand Jullians reaction to it too.
Then we came in showered quick and sat and listened to Adam's football game on the computer. Great game, the Quakers did all they could, but they still lost. Bummer!! Adam had a great first half, but we didn't hear much about him after that. Well, he always calls after the games and he called and said that they had a 4 hour trip back home and then he's got an appointment at the ER to have X-rays taken of his hand. So here we sit waiting on the call about how bad his hand is. So if you get a chance to pray for him, please do. He's in a lot of pain, and it's very swollen. They think he's broken it under his big set of knuckles. He said the team doctor said surgery might have to happen this week. We'll keep you posted. It's hard to be this far away and have your kid go to the ER. We'll see him in two weeks, so I'll try and wait it out.
They are starting my mom on an in home nursing care program. She is getting worse and it's harder for her to move, so the doctor is sending people to monitor her more. So they come on Monday to get her enrolled in their program. I really think she needs to be admitted to a hospital, but she won't go. It's so tough to watch her suffer.

Musically Inclined
Yes, that is a drum, and yes it is located in our house. She is quite talented with a drum and drum sticks. She actually plays it quite well. Of course she has a full drum set at her house that she plays so she loves having a little drum at our house.
She loves to play and sing. Totally cracks me up.
And now she wants to walk around the house carrying this drum that is pretty heavy, but she likes to march with it. She cries if I take it off of her. The best part is she crosses the sticks in the air after she gets done beating on the drum and says something. I'm not sureWhat she's saying, but I know it's something her daddy has taught her when they play the big drum set together.
We bought her a cute little colored piano for her to play and she really loves it. She thinks she is playing songs. So today I sat her up at the real piano and let her have a go. She actually enjoyed herself. I think I'll be looking for a piano teacher when she's a little older. Way too much talent. Of course her mama liked to play but she didn't like structured lessons.
Already hitting the black keys. I think Julliard sounds good. What do you think?! or Maybe she'll be a Discovery Church Worship leader someday? I like the sound of that.
