Static Hair Day

As you know it's been pretty chilly here in Florida the last couple of weeks and we've been keeping Eden in the house because she's had a cold and because it was just too cold for her to be outside. Well, yesterday afternoon it got to be warm enough for a little break from the indoors. So we let Eden out on the patio to play with her toys. Jullian surprised her to pick her up and they decided to play in her bouncy ball thing. Well, with the cold air and her thin hair, this is what happened to Eden's beautiful blonde hair. I couldn't resist taking some pics to blog. Thought you'd all like to laugh at our princess. Travis, Dean, Jullian and Eden had a great ball fight on the patio. They were all laughing so hard. It was just fun to watch. Today Ashley and Travis are going to brave the crowds and take the kids down to the Kids Pirate parade. I'm staying home to make some pregnancy requested food. LOL I'll be making some grilled corned beef sandwiches and homemade potato soup for the hungry crowd when the get home. Now if only Adam could be here we'd be even happier.

Stay Down

Uncle Adam quietly laying on the floor
Eden petting Uncle Adam

Eden jumping on Uncle Adam and telling him to stay down

Eden climbing off after continually tackling Adam for 15 minutes. I was laughing so hard I got the hickups and Adam was dying. She loves her uncle Adam and she loves his girlfriend Kellie. She named her two leopards for her Noah's Ark, "undum and Kellie" I think it means she forgives them for making her hands messy for her mama's Christmas present. All three of us took Eden to the Pottery Patch on Hwy 60 in Valrico to make a Christmas plate for Ashley for Christmas. It took all of us to get the paint on her hands with her screaming "ooooo cold" and "oooo NOOOOOOOOO" at us. She was even more angry when we took her sock and shoe off and painted the bottom of her foot. We made a Rudolph out of her foot and hand prints. It will be a great Cookie plate for years to come and what a great way to remember how little she was.

Eden playing with her monkees. She loves the song.

Grandma bought Eden a new booster seat to sit in at the table. She loved it so much that she took it with her when she left the breakfast table. What a frog.
Also you can see the new green walls. I love the color. Very happy.

Exhausting Week.

Well, it's the new year and I'm exhausted.

You see it all started with the week of Christmas and it's just been crazy busy ever since. We always do dinner on Christmas Eve for everyone. And so while everyone went off to Christmas Eve service, Mary stayed home and did some major cooking. We eat, wait for the others to show up and then about 9:15 we get to open gifts. Christmas day was busy because we had about 18 people in our house for Aaron & Kelly's wedding ceremony. Now I have to let you know we didn't know in advance that we were having a ceremony at our house. Yes... we found out on Tuesday that they were going to get married in front of our Christmas tree. I had already purchased all the food for our Christmas dinner so I didn't expect to have that many people. Needless to say we had enough ham, cheesy potatoes, vegies, rolls etc... for everyone that showed up and we even had extra left over. Is God good or what?
Then I took down the tree, and on Saturday I decided I'd paint the kitchen and living room. I started on Saturday afternoon and I finished the job on New Years Eve at about 4:00 pm. Then we went to the Rice's house and played some domino's until 11:15 pm and drove home. I painted from 8:00 am-5:00 pm everyday. Goodbye, blue. Hello Green. I have to say I love it!!
Cooked again for a crowd on New Years day so that we could watch the Rose Bowl. Sigh... we lost. Anyways, I've had this last 10 days off from watching our baby girl/Big girl now. And I'm exhausted. Today I got up at 7:00 (which is very late for me) and went to early service. I'm going to a Broadway play with Ashley today at 12:30, then it's off to bowling at 6:00 and Dean's Christmas party at 8:00.

To say the least, I think I'm ready for Eden to come back so I can rest.
